These Beautiful and bright black & beige handcrafted baskets are made by Wolof women in rural Senegal. They have three nesting sizes in different but complementary patterns.
Over 100 women craft these beautiful baskets. bringing much-needed income to help support their families. You can use them to store towels or blankets or just enjoy them as a colorful, accent piece in your home.
This modern African artistry entails weaving in the coil style by binding dried cattail stalks with plastic strips salvaged from a Dakar mat factory.
Because this is a handcrafted item, each may vary slightly.
